yesterday was my birthday at exactly 2:52am haha.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!! i had the best birthday... kelly gave me a card, a pickle card to be exact, and a bag of starburst! shes the bestest! i started eating them right away haha.  everyone sang happy birthday to me in italian and it was sweet.... emabarassing too haha.  then miss picone gave me a jolly rancher lollipop, a card, and a pencil for my birthday... a little 4th grade-ish but nonetheless very sweet of her.  val sent me a note that said happy birthday and a whole bunch of other things on it =) i felt loved lol. swimming was fun cause kollar wasnt there and we got to fool ar... i mean swim really hard!!  haha when i got home i opened up like five birthday cards from my relatives and loved all of them. we had one of my favorite dishes for dinner mmmm.  then my sis called and we talked for a while and i opened up her present.  she got me a long sleeved shirt thats a really cool tye-die that says geneseo on it and a cute stuffed animal that says "somebody at geneseo loves me". (i wore the shirt for good luck at the psats lol)  my aunt and uncles came over to have cake and watch me open presents =)  i got 4 boxes of clothes from aeropostale, a YANKEE calendar, and a ring that has my birthstone in it.  i love it sooooo so much and i wanna wear it but i have to wait until its resized cause i have "sausage fingers" right jen? haha.  we had ice cream cake and talked for a while.  it was a very fun birthday and i enjoyed every minute of it! 

so the other day my dad stopped home at the verizon store on his way home from work to get me a replacement phone cause my other one broke like 10 times.  so anyway he comes home with this really nice phone and i was like whyd you get me a nice phone as a replacement and he said instead of getting a replacement he just bought me a new phone so now my contract ends in two years.  its a lot of phone and val likes playing with it during lunch haha. 

band day was... not fun!  it wasnt cold out so that was good, but everything else was bad.  the awesome clarinet section tied our sweatshirts, jackets, earmuffs, scarfs and what not to the goal post.  we named him after victor lopez, the man who arranged "gitana" our marching band piece.  we did the half time show a cajillion times... but i like that part.  then we had to march around the track... in total we walked 3 1/2 miles.  (not continuosly)  yea we marched in step with horn movements and our chins up for 3 1/2 miles... not everyone is this skilled.  band is for special people.  anyways, we got a break 6th period for lunch, but that was it.  i never want to hear gitana again or the words "forward march" ever again or that stupid whistle they always blow.  and definitely not "SOUND OFF!" because that means we play shortly grrrr the clarinet section is cool because we sang to the other parts when we werent playing.  mmhmmm yes we did.  well we finally were let out after doing 3 extra laps we wouldnt have had to do if everyone would have just done what they were supposed to do!!  then i had swim practice where we had to do a 30 min swim because some stupid people on our team were talking and being very rude at the meet the other day.  tired, in pain, time to rest. 

oh yea my dad is going to the yankee game tonight... GO YANKEES!! 

today was the bestest. haha.  we found out today that wind ensemble and symphonic band are going to disney the week before february break!!  its very exciting! Feb 11-Feb 14... but the day we leave is the day of jr prom.  some people are saying that its march 11th now but i dont know that just might be a rumor.  i dont see why they cant just change the date of the prom because there are a lot of juniors wholl probably miss it because disney is waaaaaaay more exciting.  im going with florida! haha im gunna have to do a lot of fundraising because my parents said theyll only pay for half of it.  oh well... the rest of my day was pretty boring, except for english which was really fun.  we played a fun game and i think i got 103 on my quiz!  well i must be going... see ya later

*tomorrow i have practice from 7-9am and then the swim team b.y.o.t is that night! homemade brownies and cookies!! mmmmmm then i have swim practice the next morning at 10 until 12.  then jos' sweet 16 is that night... =)

today was another fun-filled day of swimming.  right.  well this morning i went to swimming and hurt my shoulder.  its happened before but it really hurt this time.  it makes this strange popping noise now and i dont think thats good... im a mess (as kelly says haha)  now i gotta keep stretching it and my mom says to ice it.  i hope it gets better soon because it really hurts.  i swear im not gunna live to be twenty-one.  i basically just read the green mile today.  i had thirty or so pages left so i just read them.  it was an okay book.  i didnt hate it, but i wasnt crazy about it.  atleast they picked a good summer reading book not like all those other ones they pick out.  my mother and i tried to print out my sweet sixteen invitations today but failed.  haha my printers all screwed up and i know im gunna wind up writing them myself or someones gunna wind up getting really mad during the process of printing them out.  grrr well school starts soon... no one wants to go back but me.  ive probably said this a billion times but in some ways i wanna go back and in some ways i dont.  august has been very boring, but it flew by.  so tomorrows saturday and we have a morning swim practice at seven.  i dont mind because the earlier we get it over with, the better.  well im really tired now from waking up early this past week.  i dont know what im going to do because i usually read the green mile to fall asleep... ill listen to RENT instead!! ciao

...so long sweet summer... 

*theres only one more week left of summer.  in some ways i dont wanna go back, but in some ways i do.  im still not finished with the green mile, but i only have around 100 pages left!!  yesterday i hung out with lauren and kelly.  we went to the diner and had lunch after i was very late haha.  then we went back to kellys.  we played two games of clue... it was fun.  then lauren taught kelly how to play pool.  it was very... interesting.  kelly was OBSESSED with the chalk you put on the end of the sticky thing.  haha.  and lauren was pretty good teacher.  it was very fun.  this past week ive been really lazy.  but luckily, the swim preseason started.  we started on monday.  we have practice from 7-9am and 6-8pm.  on monday morning the pool was 100 degrees!  we only did some kick sets and then they said we couldnt swim anymore because it was too hot.  i was so happy.  when we went back later it was 91 degrees, so we swam.  they had a hose running into the pool with cold water.  it felt sooo good.  we did some starts and it wasnt too bad.  this am it was 89 degrees and MUCH better!  the hose was still in the pool so it was good.  when i got back from swimming i was exhausted.  mainly just from waking up at 6:00am.  i dont think ill be able to start waking up early again once school starts.  so i just lounged around the house today watching tv.  the pilot of boy meets world was on today.  the last two of the series were on the other day and i cried. tear.  it was sad.  but im glad theyre starting them up again.  im definitely buying the first two seasons on dvd.  so right now im just watching tv in this very hot weather.  i think i might go read the green mile in the AIR CONDITIONING!! enjoy the rest of summer everyone!!*

>tonight i was just at yet another sweet 16, but this one was a lot of fun... it was chelseas.  we were outside in the POURING RAIN but it was so much fun because everyone was wet and it was cool.  they played a whole bunch of fun songs and they had COTTON CANDY!  yummy!!
>i have been so bored this summer, except for the parties i have to go to but those are always fun.  i really wanna go back to school even though it sounds weird and crazy.  im still not done with the green mile because its sooo long, but im halfway through so thats always good.  varsity starts soon and im really excited!  even though its double practices, im really looking forward to it! 
>wed i drove up with my dad to bring my sis back up to college.  it was a long drive, but it was worth it cause after we dropped her off we stayed and visited my grandma in niagara falls.  she didnt know i was coming and i was her "birthday present" from my dad.  it was so funny seeing her face when i suprised her.  the next day we drove back down to l.i.  i listened to rent most of the time and read more of that horribly long and sometimes boring book.
>well lately i have been really lazy and i have been just watching tv... mostly the olympics! today i had work 9-1 but it wasnt too bad.  i dont have to work tomorrow so thats always a good thing.

*wow yea i havent updated in a really long time but thats okay cause ive been really busy.  well camps been over for a week and its sad, but im over it now.  i cant wait until next year and im gunna make the right choice and im not gunna have the littlest kids again because i was ready to rip my hair out by the end of the week. 

*all those kids... charging at me with water balloons, blaming me for everything(ehem the black eye one kid got) and the innumerable amount of bathroom breaks.  i was repeatedly teased for letting the kid get a black eye (ehem the other counselors ehem)<-- who also brainwashed the kids that i was the reason the kid got a black eye... yea but its over so im good now. 

*yesterday was the last day of summer band and the last concert.  it was fun and sad, but afterwards there was a shin-dig so it was much more fun.  we all hung out anf talked with each other and it was a lot of fun. 

*well now im really bored and i should probably practice my clarinet, do more work in my sat book, and i really should read more of the green mile, which isnt as bad as i thought itd be now that ive read more.  its a little scary and gross though. 

*im really tired cause ive had to wake up at either 6am or 7am every day this week, but i know i shouldnt be cause complaining because other people have it a lot worse.  i have work tomorrow and sun, which sucks cause i really dont want to go.  grrrrrr
